The Investor Committee is made up of Colorado Competitive Council’s dues-paying members, all of whom are voting board members who have a direct voice in policy decisions. Investors meet weekly during the legislative session to discuss legislation that affects the business climate and determines the Colorado Competitive Council’s formal positions on bills. During the interim, Investors meet monthly to discuss ongoing legislation and issues.

ELIZABETH PEETZ
Chair of the Colorado Competitive Council’s Investor Committee
Vice President of State Government Affairs and Regulatory Affairs, Comcast
Liz Peetz joined Comcast as the Vice President of State Government Affairs and Regulatory Affairs for Colorado in January of 2023. Prior to this role, Liz was the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Colorado Association of REALTORS®. In this role, she directed the public policy efforts and managed the government affairs division, but she generally specializes in policy development, advocacy and legislative affairs. She also oversaw CAR’s Legislative Policy Committee and candidate endorsement process through the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee. Liz is a licensed attorney in CO, NE and Washington D.C.
Prior to her last position, Liz has more than 18 years of experience in government affairs and legal analysis in Washington D.C. and Colorado with previous roles as a US. Congressional staffer. She’s worked in various business and non-profit organizations focusing on healthcare related issues, counterterrorism legal operations, litigation, and democracy promotion and civil society training.
Liz grew up in Greeley, Colorado. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from CU- Boulder, and a J.D. from Creighton University. She currently lives in Denver and is active in the community as a leader for the Young Lawyers Section of the American Bar Association and she also the Junior League of Denver. She also previously served on the board of the Common Sense Institute.
NICOLE MILO
Vice-Chair of the Colorado Competitive Council’s Investor Committee
Region Director of Government and Community Affairs, CommonSpirit Health
Nicole Milo serves as the Region Director for Government and Community Affairs for the Mountain Region (Colorado, Kansas and Utah) of CommonSpirit Health (formerly known as Centura Health). CommonSpirit Health is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit health systems with over 1,000 care sites in 25 states. The CommonSpirit Mountain Region has 20 owned hospitals plus 15 affiliated hospitals, home health entities, urgent care centers, clinics, physician practices and Flight for Life Colorado. Collectively touching the lives of almost a million people each year.
Nicole’s responsibilities include managing governmental activities from the federal to municipal levels as well as ensuring that the Mountain Region is represented in business groups, nonprofit organizations and engaged in the communities they serve. She is actively involved in the community and serves as the incoming Chairwoman of Adams County Regional Economic Development, the past Chairwoman of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, a Board Member of Pro-15, a regional business organization that represents rural communities, the Vice Chair of Colorado Competitive Council (C3), the policy chair for the Colorado Hospital Association and a policy co-chair for the Colorado Women’s Chamber. She also sits on multiple policy committees across the State of Colorado. Nicole is passionate about making communities a better place.
Prior to joining CommonSpirit Health, Nicole spent 10+ years as a Certified Fundraising Executive and led and grew multiple Denver based nonprofit organizations, including the Archdiocese of Denver, A Precious Child and Centura Health. Her experience spans the education, human service and healthcare sectors and her work has always focused on building relationships, producing results and driving societal change.
